Chando Group Secures Significant Investment from L'Oréal and Jiahua Capital, Achieves Unicorn Valuation

In a significant development for China's beauty sector, Shanghai-based Chando Group has successfully completed its initial funding round, attracting investments exceeding 700 million RMB from prominent industry players L'Oréal and Jiahua Capital. This capital injection has elevated the company's valuation to an impressive 7.14 billion RMB, officially recognizing it as a 'unicorn' within the domestic beauty landscape.

The investment details reveal L'Oréal, through its subsidiary Meiting, contributed 442 million RMB, while Jiahua Capital, via Himalaya International, invested 300 million RMB. These strategic investments position L'Oréal and Jiahua Capital with stakes of 6.67% and 4.20% respectively, as Chando Group prepares for its anticipated Initial Public Offering in Hong Kong.

This substantial financial backing highlights a growing optimism in the Chinese beauty market. It signifies a trend where local brands are increasingly capturing market share, and investors are actively seeking stable, consumer-driven growth opportunities, especially in an environment of broader economic uncertainty.

The successful funding round for Chando Group not only validates its strong market position and growth potential but also underscores the dynamic evolution of the Chinese beauty industry. This strategic investment from global leaders like L'Oréal and influential capital firms is a testament to the increasing sophistication and innovation within China's domestic brand ecosystem, promising further expansion and competitiveness on the international stage.
