South Korean beauty retailer CJ Olive Young is set to unveil a unique shopping initiative aimed at enhancing the experience for international visitors. The new service, featuring personalized guidance in multiple languages, will assist tourists in exploring the store and discovering tailored product suggestions. Available in four languages—Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese—the program allows customers to book sessions beforehand through Klook, offering them an exclusive glimpse into the world of K-beauty.

Beginning as a pilot project until March 31, 2025, this innovative approach aims to cater specifically to foreign shoppers who often find navigating the extensive product range challenging. Each session lasts half an hour and includes a guided tour of essential displays within the store. Participants not only benefit from customized recommendations but also leave with complimentary product samples as a token of appreciation.

The Gangnam Town flagship location has long been a popular destination for tourists seeking authentic South Korean skincare and cosmetics. Recognizing the frequent requests from international guests, CJ Olive Young decided it was time to implement measures that would make their visit more enjoyable and informative. By providing multilingual assistance, they hope to bridge any communication gaps while deepening customer engagement.

This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to improving global accessibility and fostering connections with its diverse clientele. It highlights how modern retailers are adapting to meet the evolving needs of travelers by incorporating technology and personalization into everyday retail experiences.

Through this new service, CJ Olive Young seeks to redefine what it means to shop in one of Seoul's most iconic beauty destinations. As the trial progresses, feedback will likely play a crucial role in shaping future enhancements, ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied and informed about the wide array of products available.
