Rhode's Formulator Collaborates with Teen Founder on New Gen Alpha Skincare Brand 'Yes Day'

A new beauty brand, Yes Day, specifically designed for Generation Alpha, is making its debut in the market. This innovative venture is the result of a unique collaboration between 13-year-old Coco Granderson and Ron Robinson, the renowned formulator behind BeautyStat and Rhode.

Yes Day officially launches with a pre-sale today, featuring four distinct products: the Float Foam Cleanser ($24), Whip Dream Moisturizer ($32), Inner Beam Hydration Mist ($19), and Lip Sweetie Lip Mask ($15), with a full launch scheduled for October 1. The brand's emergence underscores the increasing demand for skincare products tailored to tweens and teens. Unlike other recently launched brands in this demographic, Yes Day is entirely self-funded and will operate as a direct-to-consumer model. The concept originated when Coco, at the age of 11, expressed a desire for skincare products that were both effective for young skin and aesthetically appealing, a need her mother, Danielle Granderson, also observed during their shopping experiences.

The development of Yes Day involved significant investment, including custom packaging and extensive clinical testing, even for a self-funded brand. Ron Robinson played a crucial role in formulating products that support healthy skin barriers and provide a radiant glow, utilizing a proprietary Yes Magic complex with probiotics, centella asiatica, and antioxidants. This venture represents a deliberate move to cater to a demographic not fully addressed by existing brands, including those Robinson previously worked on. The brand's commitment to safety and efficacy is further highlighted by its investment in clinical trials on young testers, a more expensive and less common practice in the industry, with positive results such as 93% of users finding Lip Sweetie hydrating and 97% confirming the cleanser rinsed thoroughly. Looking ahead, Yes Day plans to focus its marketing efforts on social media platforms like TikTok and Snapchat, as well as direct engagement with peers at events like Coco's volleyball tournaments.

The rise of Yes Day signifies a positive shift in the beauty industry towards inclusivity and catering to younger generations' specific needs. It demonstrates that innovation can emerge from unexpected places, driven by the fresh perspectives of young entrepreneurs. This brand's dedication to creating safe, effective, and appealing products for a demographic often overlooked by mainstream brands sets a commendable example, inspiring others to embrace thoughtful product development and authentic brand building. It serves as a testament to the power of youthful vision combined with experienced guidance in creating meaningful and impactful ventures.
