Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Embarks on a Transformative Journey with Redefined Brand Identity
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is embarking on an exciting new phase, repositioning itself through a significant rebrand. This transformation centers on fostering discovery-driven experiences and travel deeply rooted in destination culture. The initiative encompasses a fresh visual identity, a new editorial-style digital platform designed for exploration, and an ambitious schedule of forthcoming property openings. This strategic shift aims to deepen guest connections with the unique stories, traditions, and communities surrounding each Rosewood location, inviting them to engage with their destinations on a more profound and personal level.
The company, since its establishment in 1979, has consistently prioritized the integration of local culture and a strong sense of place into its operational philosophy. Looking ahead, Rosewood is intensifying this commitment, designing bespoke journeys that are exclusive to each of its properties. Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, highlighted that this evolution places discovery at the core of their operations, crafting experiences that celebrate the narratives, heritage, and individuals that render each location exceptional. This approach is intended to provide guests with unexpected and deeply personal encounters, establishing Rosewood as a brand committed to purpose-driven hospitality, serving as a bridge to culture, curiosity, and authentic connection.
As part of this renewed vision, Rosewood is enhancing its digital presence with a redesigned website. This platform will allow users to delve into rich editorial content, browse curated luxury products, and effortlessly book personalized stays. A key visual element of the rebrand is the introduction of a distinctive 'Discovery Green' color palette and an updated monogram, both thoughtfully inspired by the diverse landscapes that envelop each of Rosewood's distinguished properties. These aesthetic changes are not merely superficial but reflect the brand's deeper commitment to its roots and its forward-looking perspective.
The brand's commitment to immersive experiences is evident in upcoming offerings. For instance, at the Rosewood Miyakojima in Japan, guests will have the opportunity to engage with marine ecology experts to learn about conservation, alongside fishermen who will share local traditions. Similarly, Mexico’s Rosewood Mandarina will invite guests to explore its varied topography, from lush jungles to pristine beaches and majestic mountains, before indulging in indigenous healing practices at the Asaya Spa. At the Rosewood Amsterdam, the focus shifts to art, with guests gaining access to an extensive collection of over 1,000 artworks through specially curated tours, blending luxury hospitality with cultural enrichment.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is not only redefining its brand but also significantly expanding its global footprint. The hospitality group currently manages 41 properties, with plans for continuous growth, ensuring that each new establishment offers equally immersive journeys for its future guests. In December, the Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the brand's inaugural mountain resort, will open, featuring an artistic installation by the acclaimed Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. Looking further ahead to next year, the brand is set to debut properties in picturesque Crete, Greece, and on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island, with each location meticulously designed to honor and reflect its regional heritage and stunning natural surroundings.
The expansion continues into 2027 with the anticipated opening of Rosewood Seoul, which promises a contemporary interpretation of Korean hospitality adjacent to Yongsan Park. Also in the pipeline is Rosewood Calistoga in California’s Napa Valley, an 118-acre estate dedicated to wellness and a deep connection to the land. By 2029, the dual Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai are scheduled to open, marking a significant addition to the region's luxury offerings. The following year, Mandarin Oriental will further enhance Dubai’s hospitality landscape with its first golf resort and third property in the city, the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah Golf Estates, underscoring the dynamic growth in the luxury travel sector.
This renewed brand identity and strategic expansion signify Rosewood's dedication to providing unparalleled, discovery-led luxury travel experiences. By focusing on authentic cultural immersion and personalized service, the brand aims to solidify its position as a leader in high-end hospitality, continually evolving to meet the desires of discerning travelers seeking meaningful connections and unforgettable adventures across the globe.
