The autumn/winter 2025 fashion show by designer Simone Rocha presented a unique beauty concept that harks back to childhood creativity. Makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver orchestrated an enchanting look featuring beaded eyebrows, whitewashed nails, and effortlessly styled hair, capturing the whimsical essence of youthful imagination. Inspired by the children's fable "The Tortoise and the Hare," the makeup design aimed to evoke a sense of playfulness and innocence, blending classic elements with modern flair.

Central to this season’s aesthetic were the beaded eyebrows, which became the highlight of the makeup. De Kluyver explained that the inspiration came from a desire to reflect the open-mindedness of children. The makeup artist used a combination of vibrant colors such as pink, red, and black to create the brows. To achieve the desired effect, he first drew delicate, curved lines using Byredo lipsticks in shades like Lost In Letter, Eperdu, and On The Edge. Next, prosthetic glue was applied over the drawn brows, allowing it to become slightly tacky before carefully placing monochromatic beads along the curves. This meticulous process resulted in a soft, iridescent texture reminiscent of sprinkles on a birthday cake, adding a touch of whimsy to the overall look.

In previous seasons, de Kluyver has experimented with equally imaginative designs, such as appliqué ribbons attached to cheekbones and climbing rose vines replacing eyebrows. For this show, the focus remained on creating a playful yet sophisticated appearance, aligning perfectly with Simone Rocha's signature style. The color palette, while retaining its classic charm, also embraced a cute and teenage vibe, making the collection both nostalgic and contemporary.

The beauty concept for Simone Rocha's autumn/winter 2025 show not only celebrated the innocence of childhood but also showcased the designer's ability to blend traditional elements with innovative techniques. Through the use of beaded eyebrows and a childlike approach to makeup, de Kluyver successfully captured the spirit of youthful creativity, resulting in a runway presentation that was both enchanting and memorable.
